Tal Golesworthy is a process engineer by trade - working on boilers and flues. When diagnosed with life-threatening aortic dilation, and surgeons offered him an operation with life-long side effects, Mr Golesworthy used his engineering skills to design a device to fix his heart - and had this revolutionary device implanted by pioneering surgeons in London.

We have 5 incredible workshops lined up for delegates at our conference, each designed to inspire and inform. From a FREE Virtual Reality headset for every delegate, to a workshop run by the Imperial College Enterprise Lab, we can't wait to show you the future of medical innovation.
Ready to get innovating yourself?
Delegates will work together to create a solution to a real world challenge in healthcare. After we give you the brief, you're given two hours to develop your ideas and develop a marketing strategy for your product, after which you give a 'Dragon's Den" style pitch to a panel of expert judges.
The brief will be released at the start of the day, and prizes will be available to the winning team.
